We always complain about how tired we feel during the middle of the day, or how much we really need a nap right now! Believe me, I can frankly say the same for myself. However, there are some steps to minimising that lethargic feeling on a daily basis! Here’s 5 Ways To Increase Your Energy Level!
1. Cut down the sugar!
That might sound crazy because we know that the more sugar we eat, the more likely we’ll go on a sugar high – which means more! However, that sugar high does go away quickly. Cutting back the sugar will make your body less reliant on the substance – meaning that you will have more “natural” energy to go about your day! I know it’s hard to stop eating sugar, so here’s 10 Easy Ways To Decrease Your Sugar Intake!
2. Go out and exercise
Whether it’s just walking around your house or just getting up from your seat to get a drink, you’ll be waking up your body and stimulating your mind. This will keep your body alert and your energy will start to increase again! Maybe even take your dog out for a walk because your pooch needs it too!
3. Eat healthy fruits and vegetables
It might be sweet and sugary, but it is packed with natural sugars that aren’t as harmful as refined sugars! It also contains heaps of vitamins and minerals which will give you an overall boost of energy! It can also be a little midday treat for yourself! Otherwise, if you really don’t like to treat yourself with fruits and vegetables, we’ve got 5 Ways to Treat Yourself Without Cheating Yourself!
4. Get a solid amount of sleep
Your body needs at least 7-8 hours of sleep in order to be healthy and to have enough energy without feeling tired throughout the day! Cutting sugar can also improve your sleep quality, which means you’ll get even more energy! There’s also 15 Other Reasons Why You Should Decrease Your Daily Sugar Intake! It’s not just for the sleep, but for many more reasons!

I am in danger of ‘borrowing’ all of Sugarsticks’ posts. Another great one. I am looking into chronotypes as a way to manage energy and get the most out of the day but until I have more info on that, this post is an excellent start.
